Position SummaryPool Ambassadors work with the Villa Park Aquatic Team and the public to maintain order on the pool deck, turf area, changing rooms, and shower rooms. Pool Ambassadors report directly to the Pool Manager.
Duties And Responsibilities- Consistently prevent accidents, enforce safety rules, respond appropriately to emergencies, and work cooperatively in a team.
- Keep the deck, concession area, changing rooms, restrooms, and turf areas clean, free of trash and obstacles. Remove trash and replace trash bags throughout the day as necessary. Replace paper towel and toilet paper in changing room stalls and front restrooms throughout the day as necessary.
- Maintain order, safety, and control on the water slide stairway/platform area.
- Communicate effectively with and demonstrate professionalism to patrons, Aquatic Team members, Management, and Village Administration.
- Understand, follow, and enforce all pool rules and regulations on and off duty.
- Participate in mandatory professional in-service training.
- Make a reasonable effort to independently solve problems, referring problems beyond personal comfort to the Pool Manager or Program Supervisor.
- Maintains all equipment necessary for the successful operation of the pool.
- Performs other pool duties as requested by the Pool Manager and Village Administration.
Pool Ambassadors must be a minimum 16 years. Cashiers must be a minimum of 18 years. Cashiers must maintain proper cash handling and ensure order and professionalism as the first representative of the Village at Jefferson Pool.
