Description:
The Villa Park Public Library seeks a versatile, service-oriented person to become our new Adult Services Associate. We are looking for individuals who are energetic, organized, and excited about working with patrons of all ages. Strong technology skills are required, as is the ability to provide assistance both one-on-one and through group instruction.
The job includes working at our Service Desks. Typical desk ਲਈ duties are answering reference questions, providing tech support/troubleshooting, ILL, and handling program registrations.Also included are some circulation responsibilities such as checking items in and out and assisting patrons with accounts.
Candidates must have a High School diploma; a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred. Competency in MS Office products is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have previous work experience with customer service, libraries and technology. Those who speak Spanish are also strongly encouraged to apply.
The titan Adult Services Associate position averages 16 hours a week. The position requires 12 hours scheduled from Monday–Wednesday every week, subject to change with the needs of the library; one Saturday shift every other week from 9 am–2 pm; and one Sunday shift every other week from 12:45–5 pm during the months of September through April.
