Senior Principal

Role Purpose

The Senior Academic & Operations Leader will provide unified leadership across CBSE and IGCSE programmes, ensuring academic excellence, operational alignment, cultural cohesion, and full regulatory compliance. The role balances a common institutional vision with respect for the distinct pedagogical frameworks of each board, driving sustainable school growth and high-quality learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

- Set and drive a unified academic vision across CBSE and IGCSE while enabling board-specific pedagogical differentiation.
- Ensure curriculum quality, assessment rigor, academic continuity, and smooth student progression across programmes.
- Monitor teaching standards and student outcomes through structured reviews and continuous improvement cycles.
- Ensure full compliance with CBSE, Cambridge, safeguarding, and statutory regulations.

Institutional & Operational Oversight

- Partner with Principals to ensure effective campus operations, resource utilisation, and policy implementation.
- Maintain academic and operational coherence across campuses and programmes.
- Strengthen systems, processes, and accountability frameworks to support long-term institutional stability.

Leadership & People Management

- Mentor, evaluate, and develop Principals and senior leaders, building leadership depth and accountability.
- Foster a strong, values-driven school culture focused on student well-being, inclusion, and professional excellence.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Act as the primary academic representative with parents, boards, accreditation bodies, and external stakeholders.
- Build trust and credibility through clear communication and consistent academic governance.

Qualifications & Experience

- Master’s degree or Doctorate in Education or Management (B.Ed / M.Ed mandatory).
- Prior experience working with both CBSE and Cambridge programmes.
- Minimum 10+ years in K–12 education, including:
- 5+ years as a CBSE Principal or
- 2+ years as an IGCSE Principal in a reputed national or international school.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of educators.
- Expertise in curriculum decision and instructional strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances
- Visionary thinking, crisis management skills, and high emotional intelligence.
