Responsibilities- Be responsible to the Area Manager to develop, coordinate, monitor and improve technical competencies of area staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers.
- Lead and monitor development and training of area staff in technical and business competencies.
- Oversee workload balancing and ensure qualified staffing of project teams. Lead quality assurance efforts to implement QA/QC Program activities striving for continuous improvement.
- Monitor project QC Review activities including assignment of experienced and qualified reviewers.
- Lead and monitor activities for continuous improvement including development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices and lessons learned.
- Lead and participate in project reviews and support project teams with management of claims and losses.
- Lead the Area mentoring initiative.
- Oversee technical and digital delivery evolution, in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Work with AM to streamline and coordinate business processes consistent with Area, corporate policy and MOA.
- Oversee and ensure implementation of quality, standards, and best practices.
- Provide leadership to assigned business class leaders, including the cross-sector leaders.
- Collaborate with Area operations, market sectors, business classes, and delivery leaders.
- Participate in Area strategic planning and plan implementation.
- Support area activities related to hiring and retaining key staff.
- Serve as a champion for BGX opportunities.
- Support communication and coordination within all business groups.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Preference given to local candidates.
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
- A minimum 15 years' of experience.
- Maintains professional or engineering registration and has extensive related technical expertise.
- Experienced in management and development of diverse teams.
- Works cooperatively with operations managers, technical staff and marketing managers on professional services-related efforts.
- Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Fulton, MD: $135,727 - $193,895. Washington, DC: $171,444 - $244,920
