Community Associations Associate Attorney - Virginia
A highly respected Virginia-based law firm is seeking a Community Associations Associate Attorney to join its established HOA and Community Association practice group. This role is ideal for an attorney with 2-4 years of collections experience who is looking for meaningful responsibility, direct client contact, and long-term career development.
Responsibilities- Manage a high-volume caseload of HOA and community association collection matters
- Handle court appearances and post-judgment enforcement actions
- Interpret governing documents and draft legal opinions
- Work closely with shareholders, paralegals, and administrative staff
- Communicate regularly with HOA boards and management companies
- Attend on-site meetings, elections, and board sessions
- Manage billing for hourly and fixed-fee matters
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active Virginia Bar license (required)
- 2-4 years of collections experience
- Knowledge of FDCPA compliance and district court procedures
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
