This is a full-time, on-site role located in Vienna, VA. The individual in this role will lead the proposal development process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, compelling proposals. Responsibilities include analyzing RFPs, developing proposal strategies, coordinating cross-functional teams, and writing and editing content to meet client requirements. The Senior Proposal Manager will also ensure compliance with solicitation requirements while adhering to the organization’s processes and branding standards.
Qualifications- Minimum 9 years of experience in technical proposal writing and editing, with a focus on content creation, RFI responses, and white papers within the Federal Market space.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with technical SMEs to gather and synthesize complex IT information.
- Strong working knowledge of the proposal development process using Shipley methodology, including technical volume narratives, price volumes, and past performance documentation.
- Proven ability to understand complex technical concepts and convert them into persuasive proposal narrative.
- Ability to think critically and draw from several resources to create simple, unified, and persuasive documents.
- Impeccable attention-to-detail with the ability to review and edit proposal content for compliance, clarity, and proper use of terminology.
- Understand the basics of generative AI and how it can be used for proposal writing, content creation, and tone adjustment.
- Self-motivated, and able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Experience with knowledge management practices, including the upkeep and organization of documentation for future use.
- Demonstrable mastery of the English written language including spelling, composition, and grammar.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills.
- Must have Advanced Microsoft Word skills and have extensive experience with all other Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint), as well as Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask with numerous high priority demands in an intense, deadline-driven environment is a must.
- Marketing experience in the technology industry is a plus
- Understanding of federal domain is a must
