Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Senior Power Platform/SharePoint Developer to join one of our Prime Federal Contracts Remotely in Arlington, VA. Federal Client requires US citizenship.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in and/or lead the requirements gathering, design, development, test, deployment, and retirement phases of SP/MPP solutions or tools used to support the management of the SP/MPP platform(s).
- Work independently or as part of a team, including leading a team, building SP/MPP solutions or tools used to support the management of the SP/MPP platform(s).
- Test all developed SP/MPP components and tools independently, documenting tests done and their results.
- Design test plans for work product produced and hand off to testers with sufficient knowledge transfer.
- Document SP/MPP solutions built, describing all components and how they work together. Include deployment instructions as needed.
- Participate in code reviews for SP/MPP Solutions, Azure Services, Power Shell/Python scripts, or other development deliverables. Be ready to speak to what was built and design decisions made.
- Be able to delegate activities to other team members and be responsible for their completion.
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar degree.
- Federal Client requires US citizenship.
- 5+ years’ experience with Canvas apps, Model-driven apps, Dataverse, Power BI dashboards & reports, Power Automate.
- Experience with AI Builder, Power Automate Desktop, Power Virtual Agents, Power Pages.
- 5+ years’ experience taking on increasingly complex Power Platform projects.
- 2+ years’ experience working with Dataverse.
- Experience doing solution-based MPP development, including MPP ALM and promoting MPP solutions from DEV → QA → PROD.
- Experience extracting requirements from users to create complex SharePoint and/or Power Platform solutions.
- 5–10 years developing solutions with other Microsoft products and related technologies (including SharePoint, SPFx, JSON, .NET, JavaScript, Microsoft 365, Azure).
- 5+ years as at least two of the following: MPP Admin, SharePoint Admin, Azure/Entra , Dynamics 365 Admin, Exchange Admin.
- 5+ years’ experience documenting development work for a variety of audiences, from task tracking to user guides and work instructions.
- Experience with out-of-the-box and custom connectors and use in MPP.
- Familiarity with Dynamics, Power Pages, Power Virtual Agents, AI Builder, TFS, Git Hub, Visual Studio, Power Platform’s Center of Excellence, Power Shell, Agile methodology.
- Experience working with Azure Entra (Azure AD) Service Principal design, provisioning, and use in MPP.
- Experience working with Power BI report building and publishing.
- Experience with Power Shell, .NET, JavaScript, and Python, and understanding how these languages can be used with MPP.
- Understanding of the Dynamics roots of MPP Dataverse and Model-driven apps and components.
- Experience working with MPP Environments and their use.
- Experience working with Power BI Work spaces and their use.
- Experience building Azure resources that can work with MPP.
- Experience testing work products (own or team’s work).
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently on development projects.
- Excellent oral and written communications.
- Has acted as a Subject Matter Expert on Power Platform use, governance, performance, development, and best practices.
- Microsoft Power Platform Certification (PL-900 Fundamentals or higher) or the ability to obtain prior to start date.
The likely salary range for this position is $85,914 - $170,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
