Brand Design Specialist

About the role

The Employment Brand Design Specialist is responsible for designing the methods, story, and tools that bring My Eye Dr .’s people programs and employer brand to life. You will shape the frameworks, messaging, and creative assets that help teams across HR activate programs that attract, engage, develop, and reward our people. You will collaborate across HR teams and cross‑functionally to design materials and campaign toolkits that others can execute with confidence.

You will also maintain our digital presence through internal and external websites, ensuring content is compelling, clear, and easy to navigate.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, People Experience Value Acceleration, you will be part of the Office of People Experience Design and partner frequently with the HR leadership team and associates across the department.

This is a hybrid remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of our Vienna, VA office.

• Lead the design and launch of My Eye Dr .’s Employee Value Proposition and employer brand, crafting messaging frameworks, visual assets, and campaign materials that bring our story to life.
• Develop and maintain My Eye Dr .’s presence on Glassdoor and Indeed — creating content, templated responses, and feedback reporting that reflect our culture and influence reputation.
• Create compelling content and templates for the careers website and Linked In to enhance talent attraction and candidate engagement.
• Design clear, cohesive communications campaigns for key HR initiatives such as Open Enrollment, Engagement Surveys, and Total Rewards, ensuring consistency in voice and brand.
• Develop engaging talking points, scripts, and presentation materials to support the Chief People Officer in key meetings, leadership forums, and enterprise events.
• Build and manage a forward‑looking calendar of people program communications that integrates HR topics with key industry, cultural, and organizational events.
• Drive continuity in HR communications and presentations across the team by sharing guidelines, templates, and feedback.
• Partner with leaders to shape tone and messaging, manage priorities with diplomacy, and ensure alignment between strategy and storytelling.
• Maintain and evolve SharePoint sites and HR microsites, balancing function, design, and usability for a seamless user experience.
• Uphold strict confidentiality with sensitive information, financial records, and personnel matters.
• Deliver all work with precision, urgency, and follow‑through — ensuring every product is ready for leadership visibility, scalable across teams, and continuously improved.

• A bachelor’s degree in human resource management, communications, business administration, marketing or equivalent certification.
• 3+ years’ experience with project management and/or communications management.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor tone and voice for diverse audiences — from executives to frontline employees.
• Demonstrated experience designing digital and print materials that balance clarity, visual appeal, and brand consistency.
• Proficiency in tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. to create on‑brand visuals, templates, and layouts for internal and external audiences.
• Strong sense of visual hierarchy, typography, and layout — able to translate complex ideas into engaging, easy‑to‑understand visuals.
• Strong executive presence, discretion, and ability to influence tone and outcomes across all levels.
• Naturally curious, adaptable, and proactive; able to anticipate needs and connect information across teams and topics.
• Proven success in working independently and the ability to anticipate stakeholder needs with some level of ambiguity.
• Demonstrated customer focus and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, principles, and practices related to Human Resources; SHRM or other HR certification a plus.
