Description

The Overnight Facility Attendant is a hybrid role responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and security of the High Desert PACE center during non-business hours. This role ensures that the facility is "patient-ready" every morning by performing deep-cleaning EVS tasks, light preventative maintenance, and conducting regular security rounds of the interior and exterior premises.

High Desert PACE is looking to hire both a Full-Time and Part-Time Overnight Facility Attendant.

Requirements
  • Floor Maintenance:
Perform deep cleaning of all floor surfaces, including vacuuming/shampooing carpets and sweeping, mopping, and buffing vinyl and tile surfaces.
  • Sanitization:
Clean and disinfect all restrooms, clinical areas, and common spaces to healthcare-grade standards.
  • Kitchen/Dining Maintenance:
Deep clean kitchen surfaces, appliances, and dining areas.
  • Detailing:
Wash interior and exterior windows, dust high-reach areas, and remove trash/biohazard waste according to protocol.
Light Maintenance
  • Preventative Checks:
Identify and report any leaks, burnt-out lighting, or HVAC irregularities.
  • Minor Repairs:
Address simple maintenance tasks such as unclogging drains, changing light bulbs, or tightening fixtures as needed.
  • Project Work:
Complete assigned maintenance projects that are disruptive during high-traffic business hours.
Facility Watch & Safety
  • Scheduled Safety Rounds:
Conduct regular walkthroughs of the building’s interior and exterior to ensure all entry points are locked and the perimeter is secure.
  • Hazard Identification:
Monitor for potential safety risks, such as tripped breakers, water leaks, or fire hazards, and report them immediately.
  • System Monitoring:
Observe facility systems (fire panels, refrigeration/medical supply alarms) to ensure continuous operation.
  • Incident Reporting:
Maintain a nightly log of safety checks and immediately notify the Facilities Supervisor of any breaches or emergencies.
Qualifications
  • Experience:

Minimum 1–2 years in EVS, janitorial, or facility maintenance (preferably in a healthcare or PACE environment).
  • Skills:

Proficiency with floor buffers, carpet extractors, and basic hand tools.
  • Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work independently during overnight hours.
  • Reliability:
Strong track record of attendance and the ability to work without direct supervision.
Shift Availability

  • Part-Time:
Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 PM – 5:00 AM.
