1st Shift Summer Engineer Internship

** ENGINEERING INTERN (3 mos)*
* Victorville, CA

** POSITION OVERVIEW*
* The Engineering Intern will work under general supervision and perform moderately complex engineering assignments in manufacturing, process engineering, and/or facilities engineering.

** KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*
* - Analyze, test, evaluate, investigate, and solve engineering project issues

- Conduct research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes

- Establish safety procedures for handling hazardous chemicals

- Conduct testing and monitor process performance throughout production

- Troubleshoot manufacturing process challenges

- Evaluate processes and equipment for environmental and safety compliance

- Prepare and maintain statistical data, charts, specifications, and reports

- Provide technical guidance to technicians and maintenance personnel

- Coordinate with outside vendors; develop specifications and evaluate bids

- Assist Production and Maintenance with quality, equipment performance, and cost reduction

- Support development, implementation, and training of new programs and processes

- Follow all plant rules, industrial standards, GMPs, and safety procedures

- Perform additional duties as assigned

** REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS*
* - Knowledge of pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical systems

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to read and interpret written and verbal instructions

- Ability to maintain effective working relationships

- Ability to track materials, supplies, and equipment

- Ability to detect, repair, and report technical issues

** PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED)*
* - Knowledge of chemical processes and systems

- Knowledge of PLCs and control systems

- Ability to read and write schematics

- Ability to connect laptops to PLCs or process controller

** EDUCATION*
* Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in:

Chemical Engineering | Mechanical Engineering | Electrical Engineering | Related Engineering Field
