AMPS Corp (American Made Power Solutions) is building a residential energy storage product (Powerwall-class) and, more importantly, a U.S.

-localized supply chain and manufacturing system that can meet domestic content expectations and deliver on schedule. This role owns the end-to-end execution: supplier strategy, U.S. localization roadmap, manufacturing readiness, and delivery certainty.

• U.S. Localization & Domestic Content Execution
• Build and execute the U.S. localization roadmap across key components and manufacturing steps; ensure the product can be positioned as U.S.
  
  -made / domestically compliant for target programs and customers.
• Identify, qualify, and onboard U.S. suppliers and manufacturing partners (contract manufacturers, pack assemblers, subsystem vendors). Drive RFQ, cost, lead time, capacity, and quality alignment.
• Own BOM sourcing strategy, dual-sourcing, risk mitigation, and supply continuity. Establish clear sourcing decisions for critical items (cells/modules, BMS, thermal management, enclosure, PCS interface, harness, etc.).
• Work cross-functionally to support U.S. market compliance and certification readiness (e.g., UL/transportation compliance), aligning supplier documentation and test readiness with project timeline.
• Drive key milestones from prototype → pilot build → production ramp. Track critical path, unblock issues fast, and deliver on customer timelines with predictable execution.
• Partner with engineering, quality, operations, and commercial teams to convert product requirements into a manufacturable, scalable, and auditable supply chain.

• 5+ years in battery/ESS supply chain, manufacturing, or NPI (residential or C&I ESS preferred).
• Proven experience building/operating U.S.
  
  -based supplier networks and/or contract manufacturing ecosystems.
• Strong capability in RFQ, supplier qualification, cost/lead-time negotiation, and production ramp execution.
• Familiar with ESS industry expectations around quality systems, compliance documentation, and certification coordination.
• Hands‑on, owner mindset: can turn ambiguity into a plan and push it to closure.

• Experience with domestic content / localization strategies in the U.S. energy industry.
• Familiarity with UL certification workflows and common ESS compliance requirements.
• Bilingual in Chinese and English is a strong plus (can work with both U.S. and overseas suppliers/teams).
• Startup/zero-to-one experience: building processes from scratch and scaling fast.
