Medical Director

Overview

Coachella Valley Anesthesia is looking for a skilled and forward-thinking Medical Director for our hospitals Anesthesia Department located in California. The ideal candidate will lead a dedicated team of anesthesiologists and CRNAs, upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety. In this role, the Medical Director will also be instrumental in departmental administration, education, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Clinical Leadership
  :
  Oversee clinical operations of the Anesthesia Department, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; develop and implement protocols and best practices to enhance patient care and safety in anesthesia administration.
• Strategic Planning
  :
  Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop and execute a strategic vision for the Anesthesia Department; identify opportunities for service expansion and improvement in anesthesia-related services.
• Quality Assurance
  :
  Establish and monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives within the department; analyze clinical outcomes and implement corrective actions as necessary to enhance patient care.
• Staff Management
  :
  Recruit, train, and mentor anesthesiologists and CRNAs; conduct performance evaluations and facilitate professional development opportunities.
• Education and Training
  :
  Develop and lead continuing education programs for staff to maintain current knowledge in anesthesia practices.
• Collaboration
  :
  Foster strong interdepartmental relationships to ensure cohesive patient care; collaborate with surgical teams and other medical departments to optimize perioperative outcomes.
• Research and Innovation
  :
  Stay current with advancements in anesthesia technology and techniques, advocating for innovation as appropriate.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensure:
• Active medical license in California.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical practice in anesthesiology with proven experience in quality improvement, patient safety, and departmental management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Commitment to education, mentorship, and professional development.
