Academic Hospitalist — Desert Valley, Victorville, CA

Location: Desert Valley, Victorville, CA

Schedule: Full-Time, Resident Teaching Responsibilities

Desert Valley in Victorville, CA, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Academic Hospitalist Physician to join our team. This unique role combines patient care with the rewarding opportunity to educate and mentor the next generation of physicians.

Opportunity Highlights

• Will be employed by Desert Valley Medical Group, a multi-specialty group affiliated with Desert Valley Hospital.
• Day Shift Hospitalist with Academic opportunity.
• Board-Certified in Internal Medicine (required).
• Work with Internal Medicine residents – rounding with residents and serving as core faculty for Internal Medicine Residency Program.
• Procedures preferably okay.
• Must be willing to cover some shifts as Primary Care (preferred).
• Open ICU.

  Work Schedule:
  
  Monday to Friday (8 AM to 5 PM) + 1 weekend a month.
• Location:
  
  Victorville, CA – about 45 minutes from Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
• Base salary starts at $275,000/year.
• Semi-annual production bonus in addition to base salary.
• Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Reimbursement for Full-Time.
• Open to J-1 Visa waiver sponsorship (Primary Care shifts required).

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Valid California medical license or ability to obtain one
• Strong commitment to resident education and academic excellence
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Desert Valley Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, including estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is between $275,000.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
