, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a long-term position in the Victoria, Texas area:
Successful candidates will have a minimum of three (3) years of continuous and current experience as an Asbestos Abatement Insulator in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Removal of asbestos from buildings, ceilings, walls, beams, boilers, and other structures during renovation or demolition processes
- Sprays chemical solution over the asbestos covered materials and surfaces, using a tank with an attached hose and nozzle, to soften the asbestos and to keep the dust down
- Identification and disposal of asbestos-containing materials, whether it be siding, insulation, etc
- Complying and adhering to all state and federal laws regarding the disposal of asbestos materials is a top requirement
- Testing of a wide range of materials and surfaces to determine if all hazardous materials have been successfully removed
- Cleaning all tools and equipment, including scrapers, vacuums, and other related tools
- Proper disposal of asbestos material into disposal bags, sealing them with duct tape
- CURRENT STATE ASBESTOS ABATEMENT LICENSE IS REQUIRED
- Wear appropriate protective clothing and gear in order to keep yourself and others safe
- Possess the general insulator tools
The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all time. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required. All qualified applicants must be craft certified or possess the ability to pass a craft test, as well as the ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and other qualifications as required.
