This role will support the MRC area inspecting and providing minor re-work support

What you will do:
  • Your work will support assembly production with repair focus in the MRC functional area to safely build excavators
As a Repair Production Tech Parttime FLEX, you will:
  • Perform routine production tasks in assembly, fabrication, paint, or other areas while upholding Caterpillar’s core values.
  • Follow documented procedures to safely and accurately assemble components using basic tools and equipment.
  • Operate machinery, blasting and painting applications, and perform basic tack and straight-line welds.
  • Support continuous improvement by applying lean manufacturing principles and adhering to safety, quality, and standard work protocols.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Work or volunteer experience
  • Complete the Caterpillar Online Assessment successfully
  • Provide a complete application
  • Basic hand tool knowledge
Top candidates will also have:
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience working in a team-based environment
  • Experience working in manufacturing or with basic hand tools
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
  • Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods
  • Willing and able to perform repetitive operations
  • Willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Additional Information:

You will choose your hours with a minimum of 20 and a max of 30 within the core hours of 7AM-3:30PM, based on business need

* The training week is NOT flexible. Must be able to adhere to the following schedule for training:
This is NOT the work schedule

  • Monday: 7AM-11AM
  • Tuesday-Thursday: 7AM-3:30 PM
  • Friday: 7AM-11AM (or later)

Summary Pay Range:

$15.95 - $20.75
