• A valid BC Teaching Certificate
• Commitment to support the full range of student abilities
• Effective communication skills with students, parents and colleagues
• Commitment to continuing professional development
• Successful experience with adapting and modifying materials for a diversity of learners
• Working knowledge of using computing technology to support learning
• A commitment to the Principles of Inclusive Schools and Principles of Learning

• Bachelor of Education (Elementary)
• Major in French and fluency equivalent to a native speaker in both written and oral French
• Board certified to teach French Immersion
• Two years successful classroom experience at the elementary level including French Immersion classes
• Thorough knowledge of the elementary French Immersion curriculum
• Demonstrated use of highly successful instructional strategies for elementary students in an integrated environment
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to adjust curriculum and assessment strategies to meet the needs of a wide range of students
