Job Summary
The Cloud Engineer will be primarily engaged in designing and implementing Cloud and hybrid IT solutions based on best practices and customer needs. The Engineer will design, install, configure cloud and hybrid environments to effectively integrate the customer’s on‑premises network with their cloud environment, including servers, storage, and other networking devices. The Engineer will document, demonstrate and transfer knowledge regarding the setup and operation of each solution delivered, including written documentation such as configurations, procedures, and diagrams based on best practices.
EssentialFunctions
- Design, configure, test, and deploy cloud & hybrid network solutions.
- Design, configure, test, deploy, and monitor Identity Management & MFA solutions.
- Provide SME training and mentorship to peers as needed.
- Troubleshoot networking issues, routing, speed and QoS issues.
- Keep current with new technology and provide input/evaluation.
- Configure and support Entra/AD, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and other common technologies as they relate to customer needs.
- Resolve escalated issues/assigned tasks from NOC level 2 technicians.
- Create, maintain, review, and update technical documentation of cloud solutions.
- Delivery of network assessments and other consulting engagements as needed.
- Perform customer on‑site visits to troubleshoot/repair networking equipment.
- Build Cloud infrastructure, including Azure VMs, Azure VPNs, Entra , and Microsoft Intune.
- Define and implement Role Based Access Control policies.
- Participates in projects.
- Accomplishes all other duties and tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or 5+ years’ experience in related field.
- A+, Security+, and Network+ certifications required.
- Checkpoint CCSA, MCSE, AZ‑104 and AZ‑700 certifications highly preferred.
- Cisco certifications including CCNA, CCNE, CCDA are a plus.
- Palo Alto certification including PCNSA required, PSNSE preferred.
- Experience with advanced cloud technology required.
- Experience with networking including IP Addressing/Subnetting, VLANs, Port Aggregation, DNS, DHCP, RDP, LDAP, Palo Alto and Cisco required.
- Experience with MFA, SSO, and federated identity desired.
- Experience with Sonic Wall, Palo Alto, Uni Fi networking equipment desired.
- Experience with Cisco, Meraki, or HP networking equipment desired.
Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware & Hyper‑V desired. - Ability to support and troubleshoot server‑based software issues with Microsoft Windows Server 2016+ and Active Directory, Entra , Microsoft 365, Power Shell, major anti‑virus solutions, and enterprise‑class backup solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Hyper‑V, VMWare ESXi, and/or Proxmox desired.
- Some knowledge of Linux server environments.
- Knowledge in troubleshooting and resolving escalated end‑user identity and MFA issues.
- Ability to travel the Northeastern US as needed.

Salary Range: 90k-110k depending on experience.
