LPN Qualifications and Requirements

• Active and unencumbered LPN or LVN license (required for Mississippi healthcare jobs)

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience preferred

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

• Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility (travel nursing requirement)

• Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends
Med/Surg LPN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the Medical/Surgical unit

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes to the healthcare team

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately

• Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs), physicians, and allied health professionals

• Document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record (EMR) system

• Float to other nursing units as needed to support hospital operations
