Children's Home Deputy Manager

Position: Children's Home Deputy Manager (Permanent)
Deputy Manager Children’s Residential Home
Salary: £30,500 – £39,000 per annum + sleep-ins

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the effective leadership of a child-centred residential home that is currently home to 2 children. This role is key to ensuring the home consistently meets Ofsted regulations, delivers high-quality care, and promotes positive outcomes for children.
Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will help maintain a safe, nurturing, and stable environment, underpinned by therapeutic practice and strong safeguarding principles.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home

· Safeguard and promote the welfare of children in line with legislation and best practice

· Lead, supervise, and develop the staff team to deliver consistently high standards of care

· Manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager

· Contribute to care planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance

· Participate in the on-call rota

Requirements

· Minimum 1 year’s experience in a children’s residential management role

· Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and quality assurance

· Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children and Young People (or equivalent)

· Willingness to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (funded)

· Profficient in de-escalation of challenging behaviours

· Full UK driving licence

This role involves shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
