Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

The Process/Continuous Improvement Engineer will be responsible for implementing line improvement projects throughout the plant. This role requires the management of project documentation such as PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions. The engineer will collaborate with production team members and cross‑functional teams to identify, manage, and execute improvement projects. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM, though some weekend work or overtime may be required depending on project needs.

• Implement and manage line improvement projects across the plant.
• Develop and maintain project documentation including PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with production and cross‑functional teams to identify and manage improvement projects.
• Conduct root cause analysis and apply lean manufacturing principles to enhance processes.
• Manage and execute projects using Six Sigma methodologies.

• Proficiency in process improvement and continuous improvement strategies.
• Strong root cause analysis and lean manufacturing skills.
• Experience in project management and project engineering.
• Certification or knowledge of Six Sigma, preferably a Black Belt.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in manufacturing.

• Experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Experience in automation, specifically with ABB/Fanuc robots.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in glass manufacturing.
• Demonstrated high initiative and problem‑solving skills.

The work environment is non‑climate controlled. Employees are required to wear long‑sleeve protection and steel‑toed shoes on the production floor. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Versailles, KY.

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
