The close-knit culture of a 90+person team, backed by the strength and success of a growing global network. pc/nametag is looking for a CNC Machine Operator to run CNC engraving machines producing high-detail engravings on aluminum parts.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and adjust 3D files for aluminum engraving
  • Load engraving programs and operate two CNC machines
  • Set up aluminum sheets, fixtures, and engraving tools
  • Monitor engraving quality, depth, and surface finish
  • Perform basic inspections using calipers, depth gauges, or visual standards
  • Keep machines, tools, and work areas clean and organized
  • Follow work instructions and safety procedures
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by standardizing workflow and implanting methodology to maximize CNC machine throughput
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work 1st shift Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5 PM and work overtime as needed.
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment; CNC machine experience a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., Fusion 360, Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of CAM or G-code (not required).
  • Ability to read simple drawings or engraving layouts.
  • Willingness to learn CNC engraving processes and aluminum machining basics.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Familiarity with aluminum materials and surface finishes.
  • Exposure to CNC routers or engraving machines.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Proven experience to perform and prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, ability to work within a team as well as strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and maintain a clean work area.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision with the ability to adjust focus.
