Electrician (Electrical Control Panel Builder)
ACS is looking for an Electrical Control Panel Builder to join our team.

The Panel Builder is responsible for the physical assembly and wiring of control panels. They are to ensure timely production of assigned work related to assembly of products and other final details performed before the product is shipped to the customer. This position is based in our Manufacturing Facility in Verona, WI and is a daytime shift Monday – Friday.
Essential Job Functions:
- Use drawings or sketches to build electrical equipment
- Perform electrical cabinet construction including mounting and wiring components
- Working under the supervision of the project engineers, design, set-up and perform systems functionality tests on equipment in the shop and at customer sites
- Ability to lead and perform all operations from start to finish for electrical panels and electrical integration of a complete system.
- Ability to operate all electrical equipment, including saws, panduit cutter, conduit bender, printers, and engraver
- Work with contractors to assist in the installation of equipment at customer’s site
- Coordinate with various vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to insure they have information and materials to fabricate sub-assemblies
- Proactively assist Project Managers and Engineers by offering creative suggestions to add value to projects
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree and/or Electrical Apprenticeship preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of panel build and electrical integration experience
- Ability to read and implement engineering design drawings, including panel layout diagrams, wiring schematics, and installation drawings
- Experience building control panels
- Knowledge and experience using electrical metering and testing equipment
- Knowledge of and ability to apply the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Ability to read and build from engineering design drawings, including panel layout diagrams, wiring schematics, and installation drawings
- Step by step trouble shooting abilities to quickly identify faulty system components or installation
- Proficiency using hand and power tools in a safe manner
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Be dependable and detail oriented
