The Utility Pipe Layer (Laborer) is responsible for installing, aligning, and inspecting underground utilities such as water mains, sewer lines, storm drains, and other piping systems. Duties include preparing trenches, laying pipe to grade, ensuring proper connections that meet safety and project specifications, assisting with machine and equipment maintenance, cleaning the job site, and other assignments from the Foreman or management.

• Install, align, and inspect underground utilities.
• Prepare trenches and lay pipe to grade.
• Ensure connections meet safety and project specifications.
• Assist with maintenance of machines and equipment.
• Clean job site and perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record;
  Class A CDL strongly desired.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites and reliable transportation.

Projects are located throughout Dane County; reliable transportation and willingness to travel to any job site is required.
