Job Summary

We are hiring immediately for a full time PREP COOK position at Saint Edward's School, 1895 Saint Edwards Drive, Vero Beach, FL 32963.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Fixed Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.

Previous culinary experience is required. Internal employee referral bonus is available.

• Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
• Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets; taste completed meals to ensure quality.
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Store, label and date all food items according to policy; follow HACCP guidelines.
• Complete all required documentation, reports, and as required.
• Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation time.
• Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Complete orders from steam tables and grill and serve customers at multiple stations.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
• Resolve customer concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Previous culinary experience required. Must be able to follow HACCP guidelines and comply with health and sanitation regulations. Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation is required.
