Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a night shift position requiring FL or compact RN license, 2 years PCU and ICU experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a Progressive Care Unit (Stepdown) within a teaching hospital
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Patient population includes those requiring cardiac drips and stepped-down intensive care
- Floats required to three hospital locations within 20 miles as needed
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
- Responsible for providing high acuity patient care including cardiac monitoring and infusions
- Must complete time sensitive training modules upon assignment confirmation
- Stepdown nurses may float to other units within their scope at nearby facilities
- White scrub uniform required
- First-time travelers accepted
- All travelers must avoid tobacco and nicotine products during assignment
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space
- Local and travel candidates are both accepted at the same rate
- Active FL or compact state RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience and ICU experience
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration
- NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start
- Epic EMR experience required at proficiency level 3 or 4
- Familiarity with cardiac infusions and drips required
- Pending licenses accepted
- All time off requests must be included up front for consideration
- Must be nicotine free and able to pass a 10-panel drug and nicotine screen
