RN - CVICU

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide critical care in a mixed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), specializing in the care of cardiac and neuro patients.

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, providing comprehensive nursing care.
• Administer medication and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize cardiac monitoring equipment and manage intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP).
• Perform arterial line management and central line care.
• Provide support with BiPAP and CPAP management for ventilated patients.

• Minimum of 18 months ICU experience required; 2 years preferred.
• Experience with cardiac and neuro patients is essential.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory at the time of submission.
• NIHSS certification to be obtained prior to the start date.
• Epic system experience required at proficiency levels 3 or 4.
• Must be nicotine free with a negative 10-panel drug screen required.
