Production Operator

Kessel Medical is a contract manufacturer of various medical devices including orthopedic implants, neurosurgical implants, drug delivery systems and in vitro diagnostic devices. This is a full-time on-site role for an Operations Associate located in Vero Beach, FL. The Operations Associate will be responsible for performing daily production assembly activities including equipment set-up / line clearance, processing, labeling, and record completion while following quality system requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as outlined by US Code of Federal Regulations, 21 CFR 820, and the International Organization for Standards quality systems for medical device manufacturers ISO 13485.

Additionally, the Operations Associate will assist with troubleshooting issues, supporting cross-functional projects, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

• Past operations experience, including the handling and manipulation of small parts
• Analytical skills including basic math, English and writing
• Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities in English
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• High Schook diploma or GED required
• Associates or post-secondary edutation preferred
• Technical and / or trade training program is advantageous

• Experience in the use of basic machine tools and / or assembly equipment is desired
• Mechanically inclined (handling and manipulation of small parts)
• Experience in FDA 21 CFR 820 and / or ISO 13485:2016 Quality system is preferred
• Working conditions include standard office and production facility / laboratory conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, hazardous materials, and elevated temperatures and humidity for short periods of time.
• Position may involve handling of or exposure to metallic debris, coolants, polymeric resins, cleaning solutions and solvents (ethanol, isopropynol, etc.), inert gases, and light acids (peracetic, citric, etc)
• Majority of activities are performed in a controlled environment (a.k.a. cleanroom) where hair nets, shoe covers, gowns and Nitrile gloves are required.
• Personal Protective Equipment, including eye protection, hearing protection, and gowns, required depending on task performed.
• Work activities typically involve long periods of time sitting at work stations utilizing magnification aids (lamps, microscopes, etc.), and / or long periods of standing at work stations loading packaging.
• Position requires the ability to intermittently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• $18 - $25 per hour depending on experience and education
