• Produce an average of 1 video and 2-3 quick‑hit articles per day focused on the hottest topic of the day.
• Tie state and national trending topics back to the Treasure Coast.
• Quickly create and post videos on TCPalm, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and other social media.
• Develop coverage based on Google Trends, social media and USA TODAY Co.’s in‑house analytics.
• Master SEO and collaborate proactively with everyone in the TCPalm newsroom, Florida network, and USA TODAY corporation.
• Work hours typically 7 a.m.–4 p.m. Monday–Friday, but may change as needed.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, journalism or a related field.
• Experience in a digital‑first newsroom (preferred).
• Strong skills in spelling, grammar, punctuation, AP style, communication, news SEO headline writing.
• Ability to produce photos and videos on a smartphone.
• Ability to produce maps, charts, timelines and other graphics on in‑house platforms.
• Proficiency on all social media platforms, especially Tik Tok.
• Comfortable branding yourself and promoting your content.
• Ability to multitask under deadline pressure and work efficiently and collaboratively.
• Acceptance and understanding of how digital analytics inform coverage, and willingness to evaluate how content is resonating with our audience and change what’s not.
• Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and minimum state‑required liability insurance.
