Position: Hourly CDL/Truck Driving Instructor- Vernon Campus
Description of Duties
Prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.Prepare classroom and range for class activities.Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.Use relevant technology/simulators to support instruction.Provide maintenance reports on all equipment.Observe and evaluate students' performance and development.Provide appropriate feedback on work.Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, policies, and school regulations.Prepare required reports on students and activities.Manage student behavior in the classroom and on the range by enforcing rules and procedures.Maintain daily attendance sheet.Communicate necessary information regularly to students and colleagues regarding student progress and student needs.Keep up to date with developments in subject area.Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.Travel Required
Minimal
Experience and Training
Commercial Driver with a minimum of two (2) years of Behind the Wheel experience and holds a Commercial Driver's License with a five (5) year safe driving record.
Education
High School diploma or GED
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of state and federal regulations concerning operations of all motor vehicles, especially truck and trailer laws. Needs basic technology skills. Ability to communicate with a diverse population. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications CDL training/teaching experience preferred.

Salary or Salary Range
This is a 12 month full-time faculty position with full-time benefits. This position will be posted until filled, and is available immediately. This is an hourly position paying $24 per hour. This position does not receive benefits.
