Florist Delivery Driver & Shop

Must be an experienced driver and hold a high standard to execute one of the most important aspects of the floral business. Staff in this position are responsible for the delivery of fresh flowers and/or hard good products.

This is a 30-hour per week flexible hours position. Saturdays are every other week from 10am to 2pm. Remaining hours to be achieved through agreement by candidate and manager. Assist with the duties necessary to run a retail floral shop that also works with individuals that have intellectual disabilities. Ensuring the business operates within the company’s mission statement. Assist in maintaining a clean, neat and organized shop as well as deliveries.

Must be willing to use personal vehicle when needed. Assist with the processing of flowers, plants and merchandise. Contributes to the cleanliness of the interior & exterior of the facility. Ringing up customers, helping bring customer purchases to their vehicles. Have Ability to work with our on-line floral sales sites. Assist with incoming deliveries and products. Ensuring all safety procedures are followed.

Assist staff with making the incoming orders as needed. Participate in OWC fundraising events and other duties as they arise.

• Prior experience in the floral or garden center environment helpful but not mandatory. Willingness to learn how to use/work on a computer and its Point-of-Sale Software/label maker. Ability to work in a cold / hot environment for long periods of time. Ability to walk on uneven surfaces.
  Must be able to work flexible hours. Ability to answer the phone and communicate with people. Ability to write legibly. Ability to lift 40 lbs. Background in human services also a plus. Must have excellent customer service skills
• Floral deliveries
• Submit mileage forms to your manager on the Friday before a pay week
• Document appropriately in all Travel Books when using Company Vehicles
• It is your responsibility to let your immediate supervisor know if any of your training is ready to expire. Please Be a team player

• Learn & follow all emergency & safety procedures for the agency
• Perform other duties as they arise
• Maintain mutual respect & professionalism for all co-workers, individuals, and customers daily
• GED/High School diploma
• 3 years’ driving experience
• Must be reliable, dependable, and flexible with your hours
• Must possess proven experience and success
• CPR/First Aid, Med Cert, PMT a plus
• Must possess valid driver’s license and have clean DMV record
• Ability to transport flowers for deliveries
• Must be able to work as part of a team as well as be independent

• Safe driving skills

Must be able to carry a minimum of 40 pounds, bending, standing and sitting for long periods of time.
