Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and striving for at least five items per bag.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bascarts for checkout.
• Offer help to customers with loading bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return bascarts, clean spills, trash, and all store areas.
• Handle seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
• Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment, assist customers with questions, and follow all laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, manage conflicts, and act with honesty and integrity.
• Support and assist with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer Service skills
• Effective communication skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Retail experience preferred but not necessary
