Engineering Lab Technician

The R&D Lab Technician supports EU MDR and manufacturing-related testing activities. This role assists with preparing, staging, labeling, and tracking test samples; performing product testing; supporting test method development; and completing lab-related documentation. The technician also maintains lab equipment, supports lab safety activities, and helps ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and internal quality procedures.

• Perform testing following test methods and protocols; collect, record, and enter data into Excel/Minitab.

• Set up and tear down test equipment; support test method development and validation activities.

• Assist with drafting test protocols, test reports, SOPs, work instructions, and lab notebook entries.

• Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment and fixtures.

• Support inventory, material receiving, and shipping for R&D testing.

• Conduct lab safety training, routine inspections, and calibration coordination.

• Assist with internal/external audit preparation and general lab organization.

• Support engineers with root cause analysis, nonconformance investigations, and manufacturing/R&D testing needs.

• High School Diploma/GED required;
  Associate’s degree in science, engineering, or related field preferred.

• 0–3 years of experience in R&D, testing, or a regulated laboratory setting.

• Familiarity with GMP, GLP, GDP, and general lab equipment.

• Proficiency with MS Excel; experience with Minitab is a plus.

• Experience with physical testing equipment (Instron/Zwick, gauges, force/torque tools) preferred.
