AV Solution Architect

Description

The Pro AV Solutions Architect (Contractor) is a technical pre sales expert who gathers AV technical requirements, creates and validates Bills of Materials (BOMs), and supports Statements of Work (SOWs) for Pro AV, Digital Signage, Pro Audio, and Collaboration adjacent solutions. The contractor will collaborate with sales, engineering partners, and delivery resources to ensure the proposed AV solution is technically sound, feasible, margin aligned, and matches long term customer goals.

Primary Responsibilities

• Technical Discovery & Assessment

Conduct Pro AV assessments including needs validation, system architecture evaluation, optimization checks, and advisory.

Gather technical requirements and translate them into solution components aligned to outcomes.

• Solution Design & BOM Development

Create and validate detailed Bills of Materials (BOM).

Provide design oversight and recommendations.

Ensure long term alignment with customer goals.

• SOW & Deliverables Support

Lead technical review and validation of SOW content.

Partner with integrators for scoping and technical alignment.

• Customer Facing Technical Engagement

Deliver demos, technical briefings, and solution walk throughs.

Review BOM/SOW with customers.

• Partner & Cross Team Collaboration

Maintain relationships with AV manufacturers and partners.

Work with internal sales teams and integrators.

• Process Alignment & Compliance

Respond to assignments within SLA.

Required Skills & Capabilities

Log required activities in Salesforce and other platforms.

Deep expertise in Audio Visual, Digital Signage, Pro Audio, Collaboration systems.

Ability to translate customer needs into BOMs and SOW inputs.

Strong presentation and communication skills.

Familiarity with AV ecosystems.

Ideal Experience

Hands on AV architecture or engineering experience.

Experience collaborating with integrators and delivery partners.

Ability to produce technical documentation- nice to have

Knowledge of AV standards and manufacturer practices.

CERTIFICATION PREFERENCES

AVIXA CTS, CTS I, CTS D

Salesforce experience

Relevant manufacturer certifications.

This is a Contract position based out of Vernon Hills, IL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00/hr.
