As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), you begin by obtaining Securities Industry licenses, with dedicated classes for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 and Series 66 Exams. You will learn the foundational advisory skills—from acquiring, building and managing client relationships to assessing a client’s complex financial picture and guiding them with advice and solutions to help them live their best financial lives, while humanizing financial interactions.
After reaching key milestones, you will work in a financial center to deliver Bank of America’s core banking, investment solutions, and client care. We provide support as you move through the stages of development.
Progression:
After licensed as a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I, you typically advance to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II to deepen client relationships, with opportunities to advance into other roles within Bank of America and Merrill. The Academy provides dedicated programs, tools, and resources throughout your career journey.
This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. All employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register and remain in good standing. You will be required to register and complete the SAFE Act background check. Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in termination.

- Receive training and one-on-one coaching from Academy managers who are invested in your success.
- Grow your business knowledge with a defined consultative approach to identify client needs and solutions.
- Earn required licenses (SIE, Series 7, Series 66; 63 & 65 accepted in lieu of 66) through structured lessons and study time. Obtain SIE within 30 days of hire and Series 7 & 66 within 120 days.
- Build your network by interacting with banking customers, small business owners, and higher net worth clients; leverage Bank of America and Merrill relationships.
- Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice, deliver client reviews/presentations, and recommend strategies to help clients reach their financial goals.
- Collaborate with core banking and investment partners to meet clients’ broad financial needs.
- Obtain required industry licenses and maintain credentialing.
- Develop and manage client relationships, assess needs, and propose suitable solutions.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with peers to achieve results.
- Operate in a fast-paced environment with prioritization of client interests.
- Learn and adapt to new technology or applications.
- Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses.
- Self-discipline in managing time and capacity.

- Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, some Saturdays required.
This position is open for the entire market and the specific Financial Center location will be based on business needs. If offered a position, you will train at one financial center and may begin in a phone-based capacity until a location is determined within a reasonable commuting distance of your home, as permitted by applicable law.
Shift and HoursShift: 1st shift (United States of America);
Hours Per Week: 40
Pay range: $28.85 - $33.65 hourly. Offers determined based on experience, education, and skill set. This role is base salary and not incentive eligible.
