Reading Mentors support newcomer children and parents with their reading and English conversation skills.
DescriptionYou’ll be supporting newcomer families by helping children improve reading skills and engaging in English conversation. The role focuses on child participation and learning through play.
Volunteer CommitmentWeekly on Thursdays, 5–7 pm.
Session period:
January 29 to March 12 (6–8 weeks).
Volunteer Orientation:
January 29.
- Willing to undergo a background or police records check
- Over the age of majority in the province of opportunity
- Provide two references
