On Call:
Call typically spans 24 hours, and weekends 48 hours of coverage. We’re adaptable when it comes to call requirements for a new team member; you can anticipate 3 to 5 twenty‑four hour call shifts each month.

• Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License – Provisional
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory
• Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) – Eligible, Obstetric – Mandatory

The Practice:
As an OBGYN joining our cohesive team in Vernon, you’ll appreciate the professional camaraderie and the quality of life this location offers. You’ll support the community with on‑call consultative obstetrics, including twin pregnancies and complex cases, and provide on‑call gynaecology services.

Your schedule may include home call for late‑night work and a clinic commitment of 1 to 4 days per week, plus 2‑3 operating‑room days each month. You’ll collaborate on a broad spectrum of gynaecology, from infertility care to complex laparoscopic surgery. Supporting the hospital’s annual deliveries and working closely with our trusted GP and midwifery partners, you’ll help deliver high‑quality care.

The Hospital:
Vernon Jubilee Hospital is a 196‑bed facility in Vernon, British Columbia. It offers advanced medical services and leading‑edge facilities across emergency care, surgery, critical care, maternity, newborn, mental health, laboratory, and rehabilitation services. The hospital serves a catchment area of 86,000 people and is only a 30‑minute drive from the Kelowna airport.

Compensation Type:
Fee‑for‑Service

Estimated Remuneration: $400,000 gross annual, determined by a fee‑for‑service payment structure and MOCAP level 1.

Physician Overhead: $4,000 to $7,000 monthly, depending on office selection and setup.

Relocation Funding Available: $9,000 for moves within BC, $12,000 for moves within Canada, and $15,000 for those relocating from outside Canada. Incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at the time of offer.
