We have an opening with our firm in Vernon, BC for a Intermediate/Senior
Building Technologist
. Using your Revit skills, you will work with our team to produce working drawings and virtual 3D models of architectural designs for innovative multi-disciplinary complex projects.
- Collaborate with MQN team and external consultants to develop working drawing packages including construction details and specifications.
- Assist to solve construction site conflicts that occur during building process as required
- Work well as part of a team, individually and alongside partners and project leads
- Ensure contract documents adhere to all Code and bylaws related to project.
- Read and understand contract documents from multiple disciplines.
- Produce 3D Design Renderings as required.
- Prefer a (4 year) bachelor’s degree. However, will accept a (2 year) diploma in a Building Technology program from a recognized school.
- Experience and proficiency in Revit (BIM), we are a full Revit office. (Revit training is an option)
- Familiarity with BCBC 2018/2024,ASHRAE 90.1 2022 standards and Step Code requirements
- Able to relocate to Vernon, BC
Certifications:
- Working knowledge of digital drawing and rendering tools such as Lumion, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, and Sketch Up.
- Working Knowledge of Adobe Suites – Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator
- Knowledge of LEED® Green Buildings rating system and standards, and/or other green building rating systems
- Valid BC Driver’s License (and if requested, a clean Drivers Abstract)
- Working knowledge with AutoCAD
- Have a strong work ethic
- Have attention to detail
- Authorized to work in Canada
- Work well under deadline constraints and varying work loads
- Prioritize and manage various projects at once
