OTR Flatbed Stepdeck Truck Driver

Kaiser Transport is seeking a professional long-haul driver to join our team. If you are looking for a challenge and want to work for an elite company with a family atmosphere, we invite you to learn more about our opportunity.

HERE'S WHY PROFESSIONAL LONG HAUL OPEN DECK DRIVERS PREFER TO WORK FOR KAISER TRANSPORT...

  • Top performing experienced Drivers earn between $90-$110K as company Driver.
  • No more living paycheck to paycheck - our team will help teach you how to keep more of the money you earn.
  • Elite Fleet - 2021 or NEWER 389 Peterbilts w/Reitnouer step deck and double drop trailers.
  • Kaiser supplies an extensive tarp, securement, padding, and tool inventory that's second to none.
  • A family atmosphere that lives and breathes an "old school" mentality.
  • Industry leading support departments that support you with urgency as a respected professional.
  • Work that is challenging and unique creates a rare opportunity to LEARN and grow your skills every day.
  • Kaiser's TSS (Trailer Space Sharing) business model takes open deck LTL work to a new level and we will train you on its advantages.
  • Kaiser drivers are recognized and respected across the industry and you have an opportunity to be part of a select driver core.
  • There are no "normal or monotonous workdays" - you'll have to embrace change and a little chaos to succeed.
  • A key part of Kaiser's foundation is a commitment to honesty and ethics - providing a real difference from the industry's "smoke and mirrors" mentality.

We haul large freight that you'll be loading, tarping, and securing LTL style, so it isn't easy. However, you will not wait for loads. Your fuel card will stay on because we are financially stable. You will have to use your brain - dry van dock bumpers need not apply.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • CDL A holder
  • 1-2 years of long haul, coast-to-coast experience
  • Experience with step deck, double drop, or flatbed freight
  • Experience building and executing successful trip plans
  • Tarping and freight securement experience in all weather conditions
  • Meet all the federal motor carrier guidelines with no OWIs in past 5 years

Do you have strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills? Can you communicate effectively in English? Do you have a strong work ethic? Are you reliable? If so, you may be perfect!

WHAT KAISER HAS TO OFFER
  • A competitive pay range of $78,000-$110,000/year
  • Our Driver Core is currently averaging $.68 - $.70 cpm
  • Generous benefits that include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, passenger, and pet policy, 401(k) plan, performance bonuses, and annual profit sharing
  • Industry-leading top of the line equipment
  • 24/7 365 Driver support
LET'S TALK ABOUT THE EQUIPMENT
  • Late model Peterbilt 389 long nose tractors
  • Cummins ISX
    15 525 horsepower engines
  • 18 speed manual and automatic transmissions
  • APU's & refrigerators in every truck
  • If that's not enough...when we order new trucks, our drivers pick the color they want!

Our open deck trailer space sharing business model creates exciting challenges because we don't haul easy freight. This model can make your job feel like "organized chaos". We're looking for drivers that enjoy this challenge as much as they enjoy being on the road. You will coordinate customer deliveries and ensure that the freight arrives safely and on time. You will be able to schedule your own home time.

Before you start driving, you will train with our professionals to learn how we secure and tarp freight the Kaiser way. Orientation at our Wisconsin terminal takes about two weeks, we make sure you are 100% ready to hit the road before we release you for dispatch. Don't worry, we will take care of all your travel expenses and pay you during orientation.
