Driving

Required:

Valid state driver’s license with at least two years of unsupervised experience driving passenger cars or larger in the U.S. or its territories, or U.S. military installations worldwide.

Salary Range: $20.38 per hour (paid bi‑weekly).

Medication and medical suitability will be evaluated as a condition of employment.

Using dynamic route descriptions, delivers packages on Sundays and observed holidays. May also deliver, collect mail and packages on Saturday along a prescribed rural route using a vehicle.

• Loads packages in delivery sequence into the vehicle.
• Delivers packages and mail to customers along the prescribed route.
• Sorts mail in delivery sequence for the assigned route.
• Receives and signs for accountable mail.
• Delivers mail and packages to customers or as an auxiliary assistant by vehicle; collects monies and receipts for accountable mail; picks up mail from customers’ roadside boxes.
• Provides routine information concerning postal matters to customers.
• Returns mail collected, undeliverable mail, and submits payments and receipts to the post office.
• Prepares accurate time records.
• Ensures mail security at all times.
• May be required to provide a vehicle for delivery if a company‑provided vehicle is not assigned.
• Works indoors and outdoors in all types of weather; may load and unload trays and containers weighing up to 70 pounds.

Desired: own a suitable vehicle and live within a commuting distance of the facility. If required, the employee will receive an Equipment Maintenance Allowance (EMA). Experience as a non‑career employee providing rural route services is beneficial.
