We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/on‑call assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

About the Role:

Axiom Technologies is seeking an experienced IT Desktop Support Engineer based in Sunnyvale, California
, to work as an independent contractor (freelancer). The role involves providing onsite technical support for hardware, software, and networking environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day onsite IT support for desktops, laptops, and printers.
  • Perform hardware repairs and replacements for laptops, desktops, and printers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve LAN and WAN connectivity issues across various network devices.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory
    .
  • Handle incident management and service requests through Service Now or similar ticketing systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
  • Coordinate with remote support teams and vendors for escalations.
  • Maintain asset inventory and ensure timely documentation of all service activities.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively with end users.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in IT desktop or technical support.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware repair, network troubleshooting, Active Directory, and Service Now.
  • Proficient in both Windows and macOS environments.
  • Strong problem‑solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
