Our Intake Analysts help new individuals seeking mental health and substance use services at CNS Healthcare. They embrace a trauma-informed approach, leverage motivational interview techniques, and conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to determine the appropriate level of care to help individuals seeking service receive timely and quality care. Our Intake Analyst team also provides program orientation and detailed information about services to new individuals.

Our ideal candidate demonstrates competency in performing initial case management services, comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, and support to new individuals. They maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal issues and civil rights applicable to providers of mental health services; such as commitment laws and procedures, duty to warn, duty to protect, guardianship, conservatorship, payee, Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Mental Health Code.

Compensation Range:

The starting pay for this position is $57,600 - $74,400 for limited licensed candidates, and $61,850 - $80,150 annual salary for fully licensed candidates, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.

  • Ensure that the individual’s needs are identified and initially met through innovative and clinically effective methods.
  • Provide program orientation and detailed information to new individuals.
  • Complete all required admission paperwork: initial assessment and initial treatment planning as well as level of care assessment tools (LOCUS, CAFAS/PECFAS, DLA-20, etc.), NOMs and Substance Use Assessments.
  • Assign newly admitted cases to the various levels of care and notify Team Supervisor of assignment.
  • Participate in discharge planning with hospitals as needed.
  • Coordinate efforts with local law enforcement agencies, jail systems, hospitals, Common Ground, and other external agencies to provide services for individuals who may be candidates for mental health services or jail diversion.
  • Act as a hospital liaison with contracted hospitals for transitioning of individuals from inpatient settings to CNS Healthcare.
  • Work with other provider agencies in addressing the needs of individuals preparing to transition from various systems to the outpatient adult system
  • Engage individuals into treatments that are frequently hospitalized, and those that continue to refuse treatment.
  • Utilize formal and informal assessment practices in order to respond to the needs, desires and interests of individuals.
  • Participate in outreach activities that target community agencies and facilities such as jails, shelters for homeless, hospitals, etc.
  • Perform intake office coverage duties as assigned.
  • Use motivational interviewing strategies to engage and provide service to individuals.
  • Utilize a trauma-informed approach to deliver services.
