We are seeking a high-performing Senior Accountant
who is interested in growing into a future Controller role
. This position offers increasing responsibility, strategic exposure, and leadership development for the right candidate.
The Senior Accountant (Controller Track) will oversee core accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, enhance reporting accuracy, and support executive leadership with financial insights. This individual will play a key role in financial strategy, cash management, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll functions
- Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Lead cash flow forecasting, budgeting support, and financial analysis
- Perform daily cash management and bank reconciliations
- Coordinate external financial reviews and tax filings
- Prepare and file Sales and Use tax returns
- Maintain and evaluate internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Manage 401(k) administration, corporate insurance, and employee benefit programs
- Support banking relationships and financial partners
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Prepare executive-level financial reports and ad hoc analyses
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation
- Fixed asset accounting experience preferred
- CPA preferred (or CPA-track candidate encouraged)
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/MIS systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities
- Self-starter with a desire to grow into a Controller-level role
