Schedule: Saturday, Sunday and holidays observed by USPS on an as needed basis. During onboarding period, ARCs must be available for required training on weekdays. Hours vary.

Driving: Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license, a safe driving record and at least two years of unsupervised experience driving passenger cars or larger vehicles in the U.S. or its territories, or in U.S. military installations worldwide. A personal vehicle suitable for use may be required.

Salary: $20.38 per hour, paid bi‑weekly.

Functional

Purpose:

Using dynamic route descriptions, deliver packages on Sundays and observed holidays. May deliver, collect mail and packages on Saturday along a prescribed rural route using a vehicle.

• Loads packages in delivery sequence into vehicle.
• Delivers packages and mail to customers along a prescribed route.
• Sorts mail in delivery sequence for the assigned route.
• Receives and signs for accountable mail.
• Loads mail and packages in vehicle.
• Delivers mail and packages to customers along a prescribed route or as an auxiliary assistant by vehicle; collects monies and receipts for accountable mail; picks up mail from customers’ roadside boxes.
• Furnishes routine information concerning postal matters to customers.
• Returns undeliverable mail, submits monies and receipts to post office.
• Prepares appropriate time records.
• Provides for mail security at all times.

Qualifications: Non‑career employee available for a rural route. Must have a vehicle suitable for use and live within easy commuting distance of the facility location if a vehicle is not assigned. If required to provide own vehicle, will receive an Equipment Maintenance Allowance (EMA). Must be able to load and unload trays and containers of mail and parcels weighing as much as 70 pounds.

Work performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
