The Plumber installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing, heating, and electromechanical systems on campus buildings and facilities.
This is a full time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $28.14 - $35.19 per hour.
Core Responsibilities:
* Performs maintenance and repair of various facilities as indicated on daily work orders; orders materials needed to complete jobs; lays out and installs plumbing to comply with plumbing codes.
* Performs testing procedures to troubleshoot electromechanical systems on campus building equipment.
* Repairs and maintains laundry equipment.
* Assists with installation, maintenance and repair of boilers, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioning systems and gas fueled equipment.
* Maintains fire protection equipment
* Performs associated Facilities Services maintenance work as requested, including, but not limited to: snow removal, event set-up and clean-up, truck loading and unloading, grounds maintenance.
* Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.
* Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with Middlebury College and departmental policies and procedures.
