Assistant Food & Beverage Manager - Retail & Concessions

Basic Function: The Assistant Retail and Concessions Manager will oversee the daily operation of the Pantry, Beanery, Pico Taco, Toy & Candy Retail, and Zamboni’s as well as other potential activations at the Lodge at Spruce Peak. They help train and motivate staff to provide exceptional service, maximize profitability and drive a positive culture rooted in the Core Values of Spruce Peak.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the daily operation of the Pantry, Beanery, Toy & Candy, Pico Taco, Zambonis and other activations as applicable.
  • Train line level colleagues to ensure seamless & luxurious guest service.
  • Manage schedule and payroll for employees.
  • Communicate information to the service team, giving them the knowledge to be individually empowered.
  • Ensure a welcoming physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the department, including inspecting tabletops, countertops and side stations through floor presence, and ensuring operational readiness of all service periods.
  • Supervise performance, attendance, attitude, appearance and conduct of service team.
  • Monitor and respond to customer experience opportunities in real time.
  • Coaching in the moment to service colleagues for both celebration and opportunities.
  • Maintain house bank and handle all cash according to resort and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events.
  • Takes restaurant reservations when needed for internal and external guests.
  • Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and Spruce Peak policies.
  • Other duties as necessary.

Rate: $26.00 - $28.50 per hour

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and one year of supervisory experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office and Micros.
  • Flexible schedule to include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have or obtain a valid DLC certificate.
  • Ability to stand/walk up to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 30 lbs.
