Overview

SGA is seeking 10 Cooks for a client that needs 6 days of representation. Work 30-40 hours per week.

SGA Lists, LLC is a hospitality-focused staffing group based in Saratoga Springs, NY. We are seeking prep cooks to join our team in Bennington, VT, and help support our clients by providing excellent service to guests. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an enthusiastic attitude towards serving guests and co-workers.

Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of foods on the grill, including meats, vegetables, and other grill-specific items. Follow recipes and presentation standards set by the kitchen.
  • Cooking to Order: Cook items to customer specifications, accommodating special requests and dietary needs when possible.
  • Quality Control: Monitor food quality and freshness, ensuring that only the best products are served to customers.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety standards. Regularly clean the grill and surrounding area to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory for the grill station, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies.

    Collaboration:

    Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and assist in other kitchen areas as needed.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Grill Cook, Line Cook, or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of various grilling techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling food and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry kitchen supplies and equipment.
