Position Title
Farm Cart Line Cook
Compensation & DatesSalary Range: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
Start & End Date:
May 1 – Oct 31, 2026 (required onboarding & training beginning late April)
9:00 am – 4:30 pm, with rotation of weekends, holidays, and occasional evening hours in July & August.
Farm Cart operates 11 am – 3 pm; prep and break‑down times included.

WhatYou’ll Do
- Prepare and serve simple yet delicious, nutritious, and sustainably sourced lunches and snacks for visitors.
- Utilize ingredients grown and raised on the farm, showcasing the farm's produce and products.
- Support sustainable culinary practices, including reducing food waste, composting, and utilizing every part of an ingredient.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Engage with visitors, sharing information about the farm's mission and sustainable food practices.
- Support the Farm Food Functions Team in production of food at the inn.
- Passion for preparing and sharing food items such as burgers, sandwiches, and salads.
- 1 year or more savory cooking experience.
- Self‑motivated, team player with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Excellent knife skills and extensive understanding of various cooking techniques.
- Willingness to drive a farm vehicle to transport food from the restaurant to the food truck (motor‑vehicle report required for operating farm machinery or vehicles).
- Two steps and a narrow walkway lead into the food truck; the space is shared by 2‑3 employees.
- The cart uses a continuous fan for air circulation; no heating/cooling element besides the fan.
- Carrying and moving inventory, trash, and items up/down stairs.
- Carrying items weighing approximately 40 pounds.
- Maintain a tidy shared workspace as defined by the cleaning checklist and training.
- Working in varied weather conditions and uneven terrain.
