Overview
Job Description:
Combination role to include landscaping and tree grounds person duties. Landscaping duties may include sod laying, mowing, mulching, weeding, edging, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, tree and shrub pruning and assisting with installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Use hand/power tools and equipment such as edgers, blowers and mowers to landscape and maintain grounds of property. Assist with sprinkler installation and maintenance.
Load/unload/move trees, shrubs, and landscape materials; remove debris; maintain, clean and repair equipment/tools when not in use. Assist with tree trimming/pruning by cleaning up debris on ground using a wood chipper and chainsaw. Must follow all safety regulations and The Davey Tree Expert, LLC safety guidelines, including but not limited to employer-provided personal protective equipment. Must attend all safety training on first aid, CPR and aerial rescue procedures.
Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work may be required. Employer-paid drug testing and background checks required. Obtaining a driver s license is not required, but may be reimbursed if occasionally driving company vehicles. On-the-job training will be provided.

- Perform landscaping duties including sod laying, mowing, mulching, weeding, edging, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking.
- Prune and trim trees and shrubs; assist with installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units.
- Use hand/power tools and equipment (edgers, blowers, mowers) to landscape and maintain grounds.
- Assist with sprinkler installation and maintenance; dig trenches as needed.
- Load/unload/move trees, shrubs, and landscape materials; remove debris; maintain, clean and repair equipment/tools.
- Assist with debris cleanup after tree trimming/pruning; operate wood chipper and chainsaw as required.
- Follow safety regulations and safety guidelines; use employer-provided PPE; attend safety training (first aid, CPR, aerial rescue).
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs. as needed; overtime on weekends when necessary.

Standard
Schedule:
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Wage: $22.57 per hour (OT $33.86 per hour). Raises/bonuses at employer s discretion based on performance, skill, tenure. Deductions as required by law; optional housing costs may be deducted if applicable.

Employer may cover inbound travel costs for non-local workers; subsistence reimbursements apply. Three-Fourths Guarantee:
Hours guaranteed for at least three-fourths of workdays in each 12-week period. Terms regarding travel costs if employment is terminated apply.
