Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position in Woodstock, VT for a Director of Nursing in Long-Term Care. We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Director of Nursing to oversee and manage nursing operations, ensuring quality care and compliance with regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, ensuring compliance with state LTC regulations, managing staffing, scheduling and performance development, coordinating with medical professionals, administrator and families to develop and optimize patient care plans, and ensuring the overall efficiency of the long-term care facility.

The role requires fostering a positive and team oriented culture.

Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in Nursing Management and the ability to lead and supervise nursing staff effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Infection Control protocols to ensure resident safety and prevent healthcare-associated infections.
  • Expertise in Medicine and Nursing, with the ability to develop and oversee patient care plans in coordination with healthcare providers.
  • Long-term care experience required.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field; advanced certifications in gerontology or long-term care preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a long-term care or hospice environment.
