Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, coordinating treatment plans, and supporting patients and their families throughout the healthcare process. The RN works collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Monitor patient conditions and record vital signs
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Perform nursing procedures and assist with medical procedures
Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and post-care instructions
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
Advocate for patient needs and ensure patient safety
Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
Respond to medical emergencies as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred depending on department)
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Physical ability to lift, move, and assist patients
Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practice
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
Previous clinical experience in a healthcare setting
Specialty certifications (e.g., ICU, ER, Med-Surg, Pediatrics)
BSN degree
Experience with patient education and care coordination
Work Environment
Hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, or outpatient settings
May require rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability
Fast-paced and physically demanding environment
